Empowering Others

Community is the quality of connections among people who share a common purpose, place, past, or perspective. Building community means building the quality of these connections. Once these connections are created within a community, people share their visions, hopes and dreams. They get to know each other and engage. They learn each other’s stories and acknowledge the other’s talents.  They work together to accomplish everyday tasks they couldn’t do alone. 

A community gives people the choice to move from isolation and competition to relationships of trust, connection and collaboration. Empowering an individual creates the foundation for an empowered community.
